In a moment of Curator Block, I asked Poppy for a stalking suggestion. Her reply? Radishes! (Everyone should have a nine-year old.) With a little skepticism, I decided to see what I could find. I figured some kitchen items at the very least. Stalkers, when will I learn? Etsy artists always have a surprise waiting for me.
Radiant Radishes
Let’s start where all radishes start: in the garden!
These vintage reproduction seed packet tags are made by kingsQueens. They have lots of possibilities; consider using them in a gift basket or as part of a scrapbooking layout. The backs are blank so you can even add your own note.

My Victory Garden offers a Children’s Garden Kit. The adorable tin is filled with 6 heirloom seed packets (carrots, tomatoes, radishes, marigolds, lettuce, and bush beans). The seeds are, in her words, “specially chosen varieties that are not only colorful and fun, but chosen for their ease of growing… easy for children to grow in their own garden with adult help/supervision.” Violet, who is strongly considering a vegetable garden this year, is loving the whole concept.

Once you’re done digging in the dirt, wash up with Poofnoggin’s radish felted soap. Not familiar with felted soap? Neither was Violet until just recently. A bar of soap is covered in wool and, using hot water, the wool assumes the shape of the soap. When the felting is complete, you have a bar of soap and a washcloth all in one! As you use the soap and it shrinks, the felting does as well until you are left with a little scrubby.

If you’re a Harry Potter fan you will instantly see why Pinkerton Designs calls these Magical Radish Earrings. You, too, can channel your inner Luna Lovegood with these clay creations.

Floralee made this gorgeous Harvest Bracelet. The sterling silver chain has individual vegetable pendants separated by Austrian crystals and handmade glass beads. Violet has yet to see a more fitting gift for a gardener!

We would never deprive our Littlest Stalkers of radishes! Check out this knit radish hat by My Market Stall.

My Market Stall has an entire garden’s worth of designs in a whole range of sizes. Custom orders for adult sizes are available too! (Violet thinks Beatrice would look fetching in a scallion hat.)
While we’re focused on babies, look at this cleverest of ideas by Chic Cookie Kits. You get a onesie with a snap in the front and a collection of felted fruit and vegetable appliques that snap onto it.

Here are the appliques:

You can even get a little matching cap to snap the fruits and veggies on. So cute! (Ahhhh! Violet needs a baby! Maybe I could squeeze the guinea pigs into these….)
Everything I love about radishes is captured in this picture by ara133photography. The radishes shine like rubies and the contrast of the red with the black and white is striking and fresh. This would be perfect in any room of the house.

If you prefer watercolors to photographs, Lovely Things has created a sweet Radish Fairy. See how the wings are shaped like leaves?

Let’s finish with a few plush pieces. First we have Marie Meyer’s Cute Green Slug. It comes with its own radish so it won’t eat your garden!

Gotta have a side view to truly appreciate this little guy!

Finally, we have Alice, the Rad Ass Radish. Buttercupbloom calls her “the most loveable root you’ve ever met”. Check out her site to read Alice’s biography and find out what she likes to do on weekends.

Happy Stalking!

Thanks so much for featuring my bracelet! What a great stalking idea. I am a crazy gardener, already have my seeds started for Spring. Radishes are one of the easiest and fastest veggies to grow too. When I made my bracelet I was thinking of what I would love for a garden bracelet so if this never sells, it will be all mine!

Violet, Poppy has some awesome ideas. Love that Rad Ass Radish!
But pleeeaaasseee don’t start dressing your guinea pigs in baby items and carrying them in slings. I’ll have to call your therapist (wait, I mean OUR therapist) and let her know an intervention is in order. All in love, my dear Violet, all in love.
