When online stalking is a good thing!

Mmmm…Donuts!

by Violet on November 16, 2009

Everybody put on your best Homer Simpson voice and say it with me: “Mmmmmmm….donuts!” I know we’re not supposed to rely on food for comfort, but let’s face it, is there anything a donut can’t make better? Some people live for jelly donuts, some for crullers, some for maple bars. Me? I like them as sugary as possible. Fill ‘em with cream (or preferably “kreme”), glaze ‘em, frost ‘em, hell, toss on a few sprinkles and you’ve got the perfect donut! Unfortunately, I cannot indulge my every donut whim without the need for bigger pants. So let’s find some donuts that need no moderation.

Mmmmm…Donuts!

This first find I completely stole from one of our Facebook Fans who writes a blog named Hideous! Dreadful! Stinky!. The blog is anything but, as evidenced by this Donut Crochet Scarf Pattern from Lilla Dolce. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “scarfing down donuts”! (Violet will pause here for each of you to groan.)

When I mentioned I was Stalking donuts, Poppy knew just where to look: The Fakery Bakery 2! Not surprisingly, the sprinkled earrings I’d planned to feature sold! (Oh well, you can always check out her white frosted donut necklace.)

Soapopotamus
created this delectable assortment of mini dessert soaps. Comprised of 30 one ounce goat’s milk soaps, this set can be customized to your needs! Got someone on your list who can’t have sugar? These would make a terrific gift.
From Mud Hutt comes this hand glazed ceramic Sweetest Magnet Set. (Look at Violet restraining herself from making a glazed donut pun. Gonna need to reward myself with a donut, I think.)

I had to giggle at the title Mountain Aven Baby gave this coffee and donuts bib. She’s called it Breakfast of Champions, of course! (Curator’s Note: Please don’t give your baby donuts as doing so will result in fewer donuts for you.)

You guys! I had to read this twice before I believed it. See this little one inch frosted donut charm by Danzdzynes? It’s vanilla scented! I know, right? (If you prefer unscented, she has that as well.)

No sticky fingers from these donuts! Fancie Fannie’s handpainted this set of wooden donuts to create a matching or memory game. They come in a drawstring bag making it easy to take along wherever you go.

Since we’re playing with our food, how about this entire boxed set from Sweetie Pie Bakery? You get six felted donuts in a box that actually hinges open!

Finally, I am feeling the love from this little pen and watercolor card made by Persimmons Gal. The inside reads, “We belong together like coffee and donuts.” Was there ever a more romantic sentiment? (Violet sighs happily.)

Happy Sugary Stalking!

I do believe this is one of your finest collections yet! Sadly, I want to eat the soaps because they’re so darling and tasty looking. But then again, so is everything else. It’s rare that I can’t choose a favorite….
