My nine year old, Poppy, has been on the couch since Friday morning battling the swine flu. Scary high fever, cough, headache, complete lack of appetite or energy….this has not been fun. I know we’re not alone in this misery; seems like every time I turn around somebody else has a sick child. I wish you all an endless supply of chicken soup and quick recoveries! In my poor little Piglet’s honor, I’ve put together an exhibit of cute piggies that will cheer you up no matter how sick you are.
Pigs (Not Swine!) For Poppy
Let’s start with Jefita’s flying Pigasus Plush. Not familiar with the Pigasus? As she says, “The Pigasus isn’t quite as noble or mythic as the mighty Pegasus, but he works extra hard at being charming. Even though he has some porcine heritage, he is a rather tidy little creature requiring minimal maintenance.”
Charity’s Ceramics has a grand selection of hand poured, glazed, and designed ceramic piggy banks. This one, with dragonflies and sparkles, is my current favorite. Something about the way it’s peeking at me just cracks me up!
From Japan With Love is your place for all sorts of Kawaii supplies. She suggests using this memo pad with its 4 animal patterns for scrapbooking or collage. I suggest smiling back at that cute piggy on the cover.
Cherrypips has a shop full of adorable felt brooches and accessories. I’m loving the contrasting stitching and sweet flower adorning the pig’s ears on this brooch.
Pretty pigs look so good against a bright background. Here A Cagey Bee placed this tiny pig on a beechwood block painted in a cool green-blue that complements the piggy’s fresh-scrubbed pink.
How funny would it be to send this as a get well card to a friend with swine flu? (Or to hang on your front door to indicate quarrantine!) From: My Dear Darling.
Tefi, using fabric from Cut Out And Collect made this darling piggy pendant. The best part about it just may be her description: “This Little Piggy. He cried wee-wee-wee all the way home. Man, what a wuss.”
Violet loves the happy, self-satisfied looks on the Piggie Prince and Princess painted by Farah Aria. It’s good to be Pig Royalty!
This onesie would be cute without the baby, and certainly the baby would be cute without the onesie, but put them both together and the cuteness factor expands exponentially! Don’t suppose Mama Robot would sell the baby, too?
Wishing you happy and healthy Stalking,
Curator V.

oh noes! I hope she’s alright! Is she getting any better at all?
(great finds! so excited to see tefi’s pendant!)
Tonight she is definitely starting to perk up. Hoping she’ll manage to eat an actual meal tomorrow. Thanks for asking.
Oink oink oink! You guys better de-quarantine soon because Beatrice is going through Violet withdrawals.
I’m loving the Tefi pendant and that fabulous painting by A Cagey Bee. Good finds!
While swine flu sucks (get better! hugs!), being Etsy Stalked does not suck whatsoever. Finally, someone appreciates my ridiculous(ly funny) product descriptions. You made my morning!
I’m sorry to hear about your little girl. Here’s wishing her a speedy recovery. In the meantime, this post is too cute. Well done
Tefi, I think we’re going to have to quote you on our home page: “Being Etsy Stalked does not suck whatsoever!”
