“How, (I hear you asking Curator Violet) “does one decide to do an exhibit based upon the lowly snail?” Ah, Stalkers, come along with me and you shall see the myriad of wonders that can be found if you just know where to look. Needless to say, we’ll be taking our own sweet time.
Moving at a Snail’s Pace
Let’s start with the item that brought me inspiration in the first place. Lauredesigns calls her card the best way to send snail mail and Violet agrees wholeheartedly!

Once I discovered that card, I knew the only thing to do was continue onward to more snail inspired delights. Like the little snail parade on this checkbook cover by Pinkninked.

Ben and Lucy Boutique has a collection of Forest Friends hairpins that include a wee snail. Perfect for keeping butter out of your hair when you’re eating escargot.

Little boys are commonly described as being made from “Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails”. What better way to showcase this than on baby clothes? Check out this adorable onesie made by Miss Baltimore Crabs.

Baby boys shouldn’t have all the snail-related fun. Here’s a soft and beautiful felted sweater made by HeartfeltBaby. I love that she recycled pieces of other sweaters into this one.

Violet must reluctantly tear herself away from the baby clothes. (Poppy refuses to have her 9 year old self stuffed into them.)
Here’s a nifty piece. Artspell hand-carved this wooden box with a hinged lid. It was inspired by her pet snail named Esteban. (Quick poll: What would you name your pet snail?)

Need something to keep in that box? How about WildPearly’s Sweet Bohemian Dreams earrings?

Admire your new earrings with this Snail pocket mirror. Faff has, of course, put frosting and sprinkles on each snail.

Such a nice leisurely stroll around the snail gallery! But we’re not done yet. Our tour would not be complete without some art.
Every time Curator Violet sees this picture, she can’t help smiling back at TummyMountain’s Mister Snail.

Anthony Butkovich likes to visit a place he calls Snail Garden. Violet is mesmerized by the swirling colors.

Here’s another dreamy piece by Serpentmandalas. It’s entitled The Wishing Well. Such gorgeous colors and just look at that sweet, sleeping snail.

This artist features an entire dream series and each one is beautifully hypnotic.

Let’s finish with a glicee print by Amy Weber Art. Violet never knew she loved mechanical crabs and snails until this very minute!

Remember….slow stalking is safest!
