There are two things Violet will never have: an abundance of patience and any semblance of fine motor skills. Given my own personal shortcomings, I find myself even more impressed by those who put the two together and come up with something wondrous. Bead weaving is a perfect example of that. Let me tell you, Stalkers, there is so much incredible bead weaving out there that I had to limit my focus. I decided to zero in on what first caught my eye: beadwoven bracelets.
Beadweaving: Labor Of Love
Empty Nest Egg and her daughter collaborated on this lovely Dragonfly bracelet. It’s created using Delicas, Czechs, Rocailles and Charlottes. (My goodness, the names of the beads are as pretty as the jewelry itself!)
Violet spent a lot of time poking around Time2cre8′s shop deciding what to feature. When I found myself coming back to her abstract Tahoka Daisies time and again, I knew I’d found a winner. Such warm, lovely colors.
Ginja Girl Designs found inspiration from Coco Chanel when she created this classically beautiful bracelet. Here, she used a method called brick stitching to create the diamond and triangle shapes. These were then appliqued onto a brass cuff using quilting techniques to create texture.
It’s easy to see why Little Stone Design named this Persian Carpet. Her selection of beads of various shapes, sizes, and finishes makes for a gorgeous texture. And the rich colors have Violet swooning!
Made by Katarina specializes in bead weaving that has a clean, modern look. Her use of bronze bugle beads in this bracelet really sets it apart in a structured, eye-catching way.
This delicate silver bracelet shimmers even in a photograph. If this isn’t enough to meet your need for pizazz, MiaMiaMia also offers a wider version of this bracelet and a matching ring!
I love the power that comes from repetition of a single type of bead. Here, Springbrook Studios used iridescent and matte blue square beads to create this stunning finished piece.
Finally, Roia O’Brien has completely blown my mind with this Eiffel Tower bracelet. Overlooking nothing, she even captured the various tones of blue in the Parisian sky. Violet says oui to this one!
Happy Stalking!
