When online stalking is a good thing!

She Always Wore the Best Shoes

by Curator Beatrice on May 21, 2009

We’ve been doing a lot of fashion stalking of late here at Etsy Stalker, and today I said to myself, “Beatrice? But what will those Stalkers put on their feet?” A distinct problem indeed. And one easily solved with some creative Etsy stalking.

I say easily solved, but I don’t really mean it. When shopping for summer sandals this year, I actually had a shoe salesperson tell me, “you are the pickiest customer I’ve had a long time.” I’m still not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not, but I will admit that it’s true. Curator Beatrice doesn’t meet a lot of shoes she likes. I marvel at women who love shoes and boast to 80 plus pairs in their closets–mostly because even if I had the mean or the desire to amass that many shoes, I can’t imagine I’d find 80 pairs in the world worth owning.

Beatrice is that picky in the footwear department.

With that (ridiculously long) caveat, I welcome you to following exhibit of shoes this curator deemed Stalking worthy.

She Always Wore the Best Shoes

This exhibit title was shamelessly lifted from a breathtaking painting by Janet Hill Studio:

For summer sandals, I am really drawn to most everything at Sandali. Based in Tel-Aviv, this seller makes everything from real cow leather and promising unique style and utmost comfort. Two of my favorites:

If your ethics and aesthetics veer more towards the vegan end of the spectrum, you’ll most certainly want to check out Hydra Heart. Just look at these flats–the first are called “Spring Equinox” and the second are “Keyhole,” and both styles are made to order in the size and color of your choosing. (Perfect for stalking, too–imagine how little sound you’d make creeping about!)

If it’s luxury shoes you’re after, look no farther than El Diablo Shoes. These are some seriously drool-worthy beauties. So drool-worthy, in fact, that I couldn’t even narrow it down to two pairs. I present you 1920s-inspired ankle boots, “Zerk” heels, and retro platform pumps. All are custom made to the exact measurements of your foot.

For those of you who consider yourself both artist and fashionista, you’ll thank me for this next discovery. Cocopunkz is “a collaboration by two artists who love shoes, art and style that stands out.” Each pair is entirely hand painted and one of a kind, never to be duplicated. (Which means: if you love it, snatch it up, Stalkers!). Two of my favorites, as seen below, are “Big City Dreams” and “Dancing Cranes.”

What did I miss, my friends? I’d love to hear all about your favorite Etsy shoes.
