When Snarky the Barky Dog and I walk early in the morning, one of the really nice indicators of winter winding down is the re-emergence of songbirds. It’s so heartening to hear them sing early in the mornings. I wanted to share that happiness with you.

Every songbird deserves a fabulous house to inspire more music. These hand crafted pine houses are in the shapes of a instruments and you can specify your favorite if you don‘t see it. Lure of Cripple Creek suggests painting it for fun or just letting it weather.

Here’s a tiny reminder of spring: It’s a hand drawn bird on shrinky-dink acrylic with an amethyst accent. Ruda offers several lovely birds and creatures on pendants like this one.

Robert Foster combines digital art, opaque watercolor gouche, and photographic elements in his paintings. This dramatic print shows a raven high up in a tree calling out.

On the softer side, Gordon Werner Fine Arts took these photographs that became beautiful frame-worthy cards. Each is blank inside, but the photos are so lovely that I wouldn’t want to send them off!

Finally, this happy guy is pure fun! Made of all recycled fabric, he stands on wire feet and has a music paper beak. Jeannesu caught my eye with this bird.
