Valentines For Your Valentine

by Violet on February 1, 2012

I am an unapologetic Valentine’s Day lover. Growing up, my mom always had cards and little treats laid out for us on the breakfast table and I’ve continued that tradition with my own children. Along with eating chocolate for with breakfast, I love finding just the right card for just the right person. Etsy has so many wonderful handmade cards; here is just a sampling.

Valentines For Your Valentine

Fiona Graham’s fine art photo is a gorgeous way to say “You’ve Captured My Heart”. A print has been mounted on white cardstock and each card comes with a red envelope stamped with a heart that echoes the one in the photograph.

I am also an unapologetic pun lover so this makes me giggle. The inside of this sweet card from Third Arrow For My Heart reads “You are Otterly Adorable”.

Whether you want to let a new crush know where you stand or remind a loved one that you truly enjoy him or her as a person, this card gets the point across in a sweet and simple way. It’s part of Happy Dappy Bits collection of eco-friendly, cheerful paper goods.

Ah, Portal inspired geekery! What could be more romantic than asking someone to be your companion cube? The lettering is cut out of card stock, giving Crafting Tiger’s card a rich texture.

This delightful card doubles as a miniature sweet shop. Under the brightly striped awning, the cakes have been handstamped and individually colored by Beauty Gives.

Beautifully ornate, this letterpress card is a fitting symbol of the depth of your love. Inkadinkadoodle left the inside blank so you can add your own message.

Finally, Colorelish applied a QR Code to this colorful card. Scan the picture with the QR Reader on your phone and the message “Love is just a chocolate substitute” will appear. You can also customize the code and message…OMG, that would be a totally cool way to propose!

Happy Stalking!

Thanks so much for featuring my portal card. Now everyone knows what a lovely geek I am. My husband was the brilliant mind behind the idea. He is so amazing and he is going to be my Valentine date. What a lucky girl I am.
